Last week I mentioned what a sentimental person I was, and here I go again.
During my seasons of leadership, I had a demanding and dramatic team that I inherited. By the time I moved out of that organization, the Lord blessed us with one of the most unselfish and loving teams anyone could ask for. We prayed together, laughed together, and served together. If one member was down, we all chipped in. What a blessing!
As we close 2022, what are the blessings of the team you work with? Where do they pitch in? Where do they serve? What weights have they carried this year?
Now, take time to verbally show appreciation. I am a very task-oriented individual, so I had to force myself to stop long enough to verbalize appreciation. I had to become intentional about affirming the work of the team. It was not naturally a part of me, but the team was so important to me, that I needed to make the affirmations and gratitude a priority.
Go thank the team for serving with you in 2022! You may be surprised at their response!
